Landscape Cubes Rocks Pontoporia House
Simple Geometrical Shapes Pontoporia House
The cubes, like artificial rocks on the ground resemble the geological formations of the area. The shifts between the cubes and the subtractions and additions allow the creation of new spaces. The house opens progressively to the surrounding landscape from the ground floor to the upper floors. The general implantation to the relation with the sorrounding landscape, the house is determined not to be fully opened to the sea taking into account harsh climatic conditions and an inhabitation idea.
The interior space is generated from simple geometrical shapes that with complex operations produce different opening degrees to the wind, the sights, the sun and the activities and also a ludic and deconstructed language. The bedrooms and a public area are placed in the ground floor, the kitchen, dining room, living room are placed on the upper floor, there is also a terraced roof that generates a special relation with the sea.
